Get More Sleep

While you might think that being younger means that you can run your body off of very little sleep and not pay the price for this, you’re mistaken with this way of thinking.

Eat A Healthy Diet

If you choose to eat food that isn’t good for your body, you may find that your mind has a harder time keeping up with the demands you’re placing on it. Along with adding foods rich in these vitamins and minerals, you should also try to avoid eating a lot of saturated fats as a way to keep your mind sharp, too.

Keep Challenging Yourself

To keep your mind in good working order as you age, you’ve got to frequently work your mind out, just like you should be regularly exercising your body.

To do this, Harvard Medical School advises that you find ways to challenge your brain with mental exercise. Depending on your personal preferences, you might want to begin doing more crossword puzzles, sudokus, word jumbles, jigsaw puzzles, and other brain teasers. Learning a new skill or brushing up on an old skill can also have the same affect on your brain.
