I recently tried the Pineapple Express Strain as it came highly recommend from a friend. At first, I was rather sceptical about the effects it would produce to help my underlying symptoms I have, as I suffer from severechronic pain and have done for many years. Despite regular medicinal cannabis use, I couldn’t find a strain that helped relieve me of my symptoms.

After taking the strain, I fell fast asleep and felt like a new man the next day. It was made famous by Seth Rogen, and like him, I have now become a fan of this marijuana strain!

Let’s first take a look at the Pineapple Express strain’s history. It was first manufactured by G13. It’s name came from the fact that the growers grew the cannabis down by the Pineapple Express railway in Hawaii.

I had a terribly sore neck the day on which I first took the strain. After a long day, I sat down and first examined the strain and found it to be quite “fluffy” as it was easily ground using my weed grinder.

When I first smoked the strain, I went into a fit of coughing. This subsided after a minute or so and I was able to enjoy the smoking process after than initial period. After a few minutes, I felt a gradual uplifting kick, which I didn’t expect, but was indeed very welcome. The effects were almost instant, which I haven’t had with previous strains that I have tried. As soon as I finished the smoking process, the pain in my neck that I experienced during the day was gone. Completely disappeared. I was actually shocked at how fast this was, as I suffer from quite severe chronic pain, and that neck pain that I regularly experience last for many days without relief.

One side effect I experienced though was a dry mouth, but after consuming a few glasses of water, this was quickly remedied. After this, I actually got quite hungry and I believe I got the classic cannabis munchies. Just after I finished eating, I began to feel very sleepy. This was good timing as I was desperate for a good nights sleep after the previous evening which was distrupted by terrible bouts of insomnia.

I found that the Pineapple Express strain offers a slight high, and is certainly not an over the top high, which I prefer. It would be suitable for those who suffer from chronic pain, as it acts as a great way for you to relax prior to going to bed.

In terms of the cost of this particular strain, I found it readily available at about $13/gram, which is around average for cannabis strains such as this. $250/ounce is certainly not over the top in terms of price in my view. If you suffer from chronic pain, I would highly recommend that you give this strain a shot.
