Start with selecting some fresh vegetables like spinach, carrots, bell peppers, and potatoes and be careful about how you decide to cook those items.
Steaming is a good choice for preparation and when you’re considering how to season them, avoid the salt and turn to herbs and spices like turmeric and oregano which are proven to help improve lung function. As for fruits, turn to those that are high in antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E that can be found in blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and cranberries. These can have a big impact on getting oxygen into your bloodstream quicker.
What could be easier? Get out there and jog, run, do some push-ups, anything to get the blood flowing the brain working to supply more oxygen to your cells. All of this movement increases oxygen levels through higher respiratory rates and the more active you are the more your cells burn oxygen. Crack a Window
I know it’s a tough one to get your head around but did you know that if you open a window it will let in the outside air to enable you to inhale more of it? Go ahead and try it, you may be amazed at how much oxygen you can get from one simple task.
Seriously though, fresh outdoor air is a great resource for improving your oxygen intake and whether you stick your head out an open window or venture outside for a nice walk, the fresh air will do you some good.
Sounds weird but you may not be breathing properly. Try some breathing exercises to help get more oxygen into your lungs. There are a variety of exercises you can do sitting up, standing, lying down, all of which are designed to get your as much air into your lungs and exhale it with the intention of opening up the diaphragm and training yourself to inhale sufficiently enough to reap the benefits of all that wonderful fresh air surrounding you.
